Hi, I'm Andrea Baliarda

I love connecting with horses and people, creating relationships based on understanding the horse and rider’s emotions and well-being.

My passion is to help riders and horses develop and progress at their own pace to get the best results possible. 

I believe in giving them tools to help them escalate through the levels. There is nothing like the satisfaction of seeing the process and witnessing the horse-rider partnership’s evolution.

I constantly surround myself with top riders and professionals, learning as much as possible. This has allowed me to help riders achieve their goals and produce happy horses up to Grand Prix.

Worked and trained with

  • Worked for and trained with Rebecca and Gareth Hughes, an Olympic Grand Prix rider for England with several International achievements under his belt.
  • Trained with David Trott, a List 1 and an FEI International Judge.
  • Worked and trained with Victor Alvarez. International Grand Prix rider for Spain, specialising in Iberian horses.
  • Trained with Diane Thurman Baker, Grand Prix rider specialising in piaffe-passage and in-hand work.

Achievements as a rider

  • Produced Spanish horse from PSG to Grand Prix.
  • Produced multiple youngsters from Iberian to Warmbloods, qualifying for Regionals and Nexgen Championships.
  • Middle Tour Reserve Champion 2021.
  • MCI Reserve Champion at Intermediate II 2021.
  • Regional qualifications from young horses to PSG level.
  • Ridden presentation of Iberian young Horse stallions achieving the ”Calificado” Certification.
  • Multiple MCI qualifications with different horses at different levels.
  • Multiple placements at several Catalan Championships.

  • Trained multiple riders at different levels, helping them qualify for Regionals, Nationals, and MCI shows.
  • Co-trained riders from the Russian team qualifying and participating at the Europeans.
  • Trained multiple riders qualifying for ACEGI, Catalan Championships and Spanish Championships.
